St Catherine’s Blue Bag appeal with ILG

Staff  from Crawley based courier and fulfilment company ILG have shown they have bags of generosity. They recently organised Blue Bag collections on a massive scale, as part of their ongoing support of St Catherine’s Hospice, by giving the bags out to 14 other local businesses, asking them to fill them with donated goods, then collecting and delivering them to St Catherine’s for sale in their shops. ILG staff also donated goods for the bags.

With the recent Blue Bag campaign completed, they have now collected donations worth a total of £3,660 for the hospice.

ILG added a further £500 donation which they presented to the hospice last week. They were joined by Holly Chantler from Morrisons Solicitors, whose employees donated the greatest value goods, priced at £868.

This is the second time that ILG has run a campaign of this kind, with the first taking place last autumn and raising £2,700. Grant Ashley, Founder and CEO of ILG, said “We’re so pleased that we’ve been able to continue to support St Catherine’s Hospice in this way. To smash the value of the donations collected last year is brilliant too.”

Jenna Durdle from St Catherine’s Hospice said “We are really grateful to everyone at ILG and all the employees at local companies that donated stock for our shops. Funds raised through our 13 shops are a vital fundraising resource and the timing couldn’t be better as our shops desperately need donations at the moment.”

If you have any quality goods you would like to donate, please take them along to one of the St Catherine’s Hospice charity shops. The managers will be pleased to see you!
