Below we list 2 of the best small businesses in Crawley
who are members of Crawley & Gatwick Chamber of Commerce.

6: Creative Pod

FORMER Hazelwick School pupil Matt Turner has become a familiar face in Crawley’s business community.

He started design and marketing firm Creative Pod in 2006, was named Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2010 at the Gatwick Diamond Business Awards and went on to co-found Young Start-Up Talent.

The initiative encourages young people to pitch their business ideas and the winner gets money to start their own business.

Creative Pod operates from Basepoint and designs everything from websites and iPad apps to office furniture.

The firm is also an established marketing agency and printing company.

9: Sam’s Kitchen

FOR fashionistas life is all about looking stylish at all times, and thanks to Sam French even your treat to accompany a coffee can be well dressed.

After winning the Young Start-Up Talent contest’s £50,000 prize last year, Sam’s Kitchen was suddenly in Vogue – quite literally.

The magazine featured his hand-iced “gingerbread men wearing fashionable clothes” in its March edition last year.

As well as putting a smile on the faces of anyone with a sweet tooth Mr French also runs a gingerbread house competition to raise money for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice.
