Networking
The Chamber holds monthly networking events, which are a great opportunity for B2B and B2C networking. You can expand your business network over a delicious breakfast and also listen to one of our varied speakers on a number of local and business issues. Each member has access to the Members Directory, so you can easily contact fellow members to follow up with them after networking events.
You can view our events schedule on our Calendar. We will be holding “meet the expert” panel events and discussion forms on hot local and business topics, so make sure you check back for updates.
We want to reward our members for engaging with the Chamber, so we run the following schemes:
- Get your next Chamber networking event for free if you introduce a new member to the Chamber
- Get your next Chamber networking event for free if you attend 6 consecutive networking events
- Get your next Chamber networking event for free if you follow us on Twitter for a year and retweet the Chamber 10 times within that year
- Bring a guest for free to one Chamber networking event per year
Promoting Your Business
The Chamber provides a fantastic opportunity to promote your business – for free
Chamber members are encouraged to submit short articles and news items to promote their businesses in the Chambers e-newsletter, which is distributed to the entire membership.
The Chamber has secured advertising space in the Business Matters magazine and in Platinum Magazine, which has largest circulation of any business magazine in the country. Make the most of this valuable resource by submitting your articles or news stories by the 15th of each month.
The Chamber will randomly select a “Member of the Month” who will get short dedicated slot at that month’s networking breakfast to promote their business to other members, together with a dedicated space in the Chambers’ e-newsletter.
Follow us on Twitter! The Chamber is active on social media, so we will retweet you and publish your articles or news items on the Chambers’ social media platforms.
Referral & Discount Scheme
The Chamber encourages members to seek out other members’ expertise and contacts as a first port of call for their business needs.
Each member invited to provide a summary of their expertise and what they have to offer other members by emailing Jose Evans. The Chamber would also like all the members to consider what discounts or offers they can provide to other members on their goods or services.
Your summary and discounts will be included in the Members Directory. Any promotional offers can be included within the Chamber e-newsletter.
Affiliation with Sussex Chamber of Commerce
The Chamber is proud to be affiliated with the Sussex Chamber of Commerce (which, in turn, is affiliated with the CBI). This brings a number of key benefits for Chamber members including:
