Paul trained with a London practice and joined Gatwick based firm, Sterling Milne, in 1986. He became a partner in 1997.

In October 2007 Sterling Milne merged with Reeves and Paul became a partner in the enlarged practice.

Personal Interests

Paul enjoys history and cooking. He also plays softball and table tennis, and likes to see how others in the world live and work.

Geoff Williamson has lived in Worth, Crawley for over 30 Years and has been involved in Management for over 45 Years.

He has had a diverse background within the Motor Trade including Sales, After Sales & Parts which spanned the first 30+ Years of his career.  During that period he working in all types of Companies including Manufacturers, National, International, PLC’s & Limited Companies. He has held several positions including Dealer Principal designate, General Manager, Parts Director, After Sales Manager & Parts Manager subsequently running a Crawley based IT Service Company called www.ituk.biz for the last 15 Years, specializing in Virus & Spyware removal, installations of Networks & Wireless Broadband, Sales & Service.

Because most of his clients are Home Based (Retail) and Small Businesses he is constantly getting feedback from them about local issues.

Geoff also held the positions of Branch Chairman (5 years), Regional Vice Chairman (3 Years) and has held positions of Branch & Regional Vice Chairman for the last 4 Years for the Federation of Small Businesses.( www.fsb.org.uk ). He believes that we should all try to give something back to the Local Community and this is where CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) comes in. ACTION NOT WORDS.  He was Chairman of the Hazelwick School Parents Association for 3 Years and a Parent Governor for 6 Years.

This background puts Geoff in a unique position where Business, Community & Environmental issues integrate very well.

In 2007 he was elected Founder President of the Gatwick Diamond Rotary Club ( www.gatwickdiamondrotary.org ), whose motto is “Service Above Self”. The club works closely with the Local Business Community raising funds for needy causes and in conjunction with Crawley Happy Times ( www.crawleyhappytimes.co.uk ) an online Newspaper has set up “Local Help Crawley” ( www.localhelpcrawley.co.uk ) to specifically help people in need in Crawley.

He is a member of several Professional organizations including the Institute of the Motor Industry (MIMI) and the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (CInstSMM) and has in the past been a member of The Institute of Directors (MIoD) and a Member of the British Institute of Management (MInstMgt)

He is a very keen Networker and he has found that this is the best way of building long term Business Friendships.

Over the last 10 Years he has built up a network of contacts including local MP’s, Mayors, Councilors & Business Leaders in Surrey & Sussex.  His willingness to stand for the position of President of our Chamber is proof of his commitment to the success of the Chamber.

Philip Hayden – Treasurer

Richard Place Dobson Chartered Accountants
Philip has served the Chamber for approximately 25 years as Treasurer, looking after the funds and the Chamber’s accounting. One of three partners in a Crawley based firm of Chartered Accountants helping businesses with their development and looking after their accounting and tax affairs, Philip also acts for a number of private individuals helping them with their tax affairs.

June Patto, also of Richard Place Dobson, has also dedicated many hours to the Chamber, assisting Philip in his role as Treasurer and handling the incoming Chamber mail.

“I hope to make a real difference to the future prosperity of Crawley and Gatwick by encouraging local businesses to work with their local schools to help raise standards of achievement, prepare young people for the world of work and nurture economic success through education and business activity. Being involved with the Chamber will enable me to meet local businesses and to promote the benefits of working with Young Enterprise and local schools. I will also be able to provide Chamber members with regular updates about changes and developments within the education sector.”

Lorraine Nugent – Publicity

I am a Director at Media Word Waves, a PR and Marketing company. Our aim is to generate awareness and visibility with affordable, targeted solutions for our customers through all types of media in a creative manner.

I coordinate and edit the monthly newsletter that is given out to members at the monthly breakfast meetings, emailed out to members, various outlets in the Town and available on the website.  The newsletter is designed to be a platform for the Chamber Exec committee to update and advise members on their individual portfolio’s along with news from members and upcoming events.

The Chamber has sponsored the Young Start-up Talent competition, which will promote the Chamber to a younger audience, and where publicity over the past year has made local headline news with many of the Chamber businesses also being part of the project.

I attend various events on behalf of the Chamber throughout the year such as related workshops and seminars.

I actively promote the Chamber and its members when conducting my own business at seminars and other networking events that I attend and will continue to do so.
